Dior, Addict Lip Glow
If I were stranded on a desert island with only one luxury item, this would be it. “Addict Lip Glow” was appropriately named as I was hooked instantly. Miraculously this lip balm acts as a moisturizer, gloss and hydrating treatment all in one. It’s probably a little excessive, but I usually have two or three of these spread across my purse, bathroom and diaper bag at any given time. I love, love, love it!
Francophile Dinner Plates
Beautiful, colorful and happy - these plates are works of art. We use them regularly as our daily dinnerware and everyone has fun seeing what picture they get come mealtime. Actually, they’re so pretty that we’ve contemplated hanging them above our kitchen cabinets… hmm.
Calico Corners, custom home furnishings
Calico Corners = my happy place. They have an eclectic selection of fabrics (I particularly swoon over the Robert Allen line) and are able to help you create truly unique furnishings for your home. I’ve done my research and, if you wait for a sale especially, their prices on drapes and furniture are comparable to the big guns like Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. The fun in using C.C. is that you get the assistance of a designer, at no additional charge, have complete control over your finishings and come away with awesome one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect your style.
Oh, how badly I would like to see my house perfectly clean and clutter-free every time I walk through the door. Unfortunately, I have three kids and two dogs that make it virtually impossible, so my planner is the one place where I get to keep everything attractively organized. I have a long-standing love affair with planners and I’ve been obsessed with the “ECLP” for the last three years. The paper quality is great and they recently expanded their product line with lots of options to make it just right, just for you.
Mini Boden designs some seriously adorable kid clothes, but what I make them an all-time favorite of mine is their quality. These pieces are made from high-grade cotton that has held up against soccer games, paint, mud puddles, ketchup, markers, you name it! No matter what the mess they seem to always come clean (ok, I use oxi-clean spray too). Mini Boden really hit the mark with form and function and they’re my go-to outfits for the kids.
Harry Barker, Leopard Dog Collar
I’m a big fan of bold prints and color, even on my dogs. I love finding unique collars for them, and this Harry Barker leopard option is a long-standing number one on my pup list. Truth be told, I like matching their collars to our decor (because I’m crazy) and leopard goes with everything… right?
Piko Shirts, Original V-Neck Short Sleeve Top
Hands down, this is my favorite t-shirt. I discovered Piko about four months ago and I’ve acquired a mini-Piko wardrobe pretty quickly. They use super-soft, machine washable bamboo cotton that feels like a dream to wear. You can easily dress these up with jeans and heels or throw it on with some yoga pants for errands. They are very versatile, very comfortable and very affordable.
Green Sprouts, Silicone Placemat
These placemats are a total toddler mealtime lifesaver. When you put it on the table it will not move, at all, for the entire meal. It’s great at helping tiny dishes stay put and whenever you do end up with a mess, which is inevitable, it’s entirely contained because this ingenious placemat has raised edges! It’s portable, dishwasher safe and I love the simple design and bright colors. Great product!
Jon Hart Design, Left Bank Tote
Jon Hart is a local company that focusses on creating well-made bags, luggage, and accessories with a classic design and the Left Bank tote is my go-to tote. I’ve put it to use for all kinds of things (groceries, diaper bag, luggage, briefcase, etc.) and it’s the sort of workhorse bag everyone needs. I love the design, options for personalization, quality and that they’re made right here in Texas.
OXO Tot, Baby Spoons
OXO is a pretty clever company and these baby spoons are the best, ever (IMHO). I love them so much because the silicone spoon acts like a mini-spatula. Baby food jars can be teeny tiny and this spoon really lets you get the most out of them. Also, the design of the spoon makes it quite easy for baby to suck on while they learn how to take more real bites. I’ve used these for all three kids and they’re a home run at our house!
