To write, or not to write...

You may, or may not, have been wondering what happened to me. My apologies for going MIA over the last few weeks, but I'm still here... let me explain. Since starting this blog last fall, I've met some wonderful people, and gotten some great opportunities. I had no idea what doors the world of blogging would open for me, and I've been incredibly blessed in this journey so far.

Writing is a passion of mine, and I've always turned to it as a safe spot for processing, figuring out life, and generally to get things off my chest. After writing a piece for Epica, a company featuring gorgeous Italian leather journals, I was "picked up" to write a column for a local newspaper, The Sealy News. I could hardly believe it when I got the call, but I just put out my third column for the paper and wanted to share it with all of you.

My first three pieces are:

Journaling as a family: preserve every day

Making decisions for children: Shoulda, coulda, woulda

End of summer family bucket list

I'd love for you to check it out, and you'll be able to find all of my future articles under the "Lifestyles" tab, should you be in the market for a little light-hearted reading on the trials parenting and mommyhood. It's difficult to put your self out there in new, vulnerable ways... after all, people might not like it. However, the flip side is that in doing so, you're able to connect with people on a real-life level, in a very authentic way, but most importantly, you stand a chance of making yourself proud.

All of your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them.
